The main objective of this training emanates from the increasing need of better trained English high school (lycée) teachers nationwide. therefore, the training

  1. targets a vocational training for teaching English at the level of senior and junior High School level
  2. helps prepare teachers who would fulfil the Ministry of Education pedagogical project’s objectives that ultimately seek to make ‘schooling for all’ a successful enterprise. This project remains highly conditional upon teachers whose qualifications help answer the needs, objectives, methodology for the teaching of the on-going set programmes, which are primarily designed to provide the students with skills, linguistic competence.
  3. is a project that promotes ‘governance.
  4. aims at participating in the effort of making available a pedagogical model that works, 
               – helps would-be teachers develop appropriate English communicative language teaching, methodology, and assessment.
  1. Maîtriser la langue anglaise (à l’oral et à l’écrit),
  2. Maîtriser la lecture, la compréhension, l’analyse, le commentaire et l’interprétation de textes littéraires et non littéraires ; être capable de les situer dans leur contexte historique, social et culturel.
  3. Produire des écrits corrects et structurés : rédactions ou compositions (portant sur la description, la narration, l’argumentation etc.) ou des discours (prise de parole publique speaking, exposés, présentations).
  4. Maîtriser la pratique du commentaire, du résumé, de la synthèse de documents pour apprendre à bien structurer ses idées, et pour développer l’esprit critique.

Teachers of English who will be given a vocational training that will Qualify them for a productive teaching at the level of senior and junior High School nationwide; for this purpose the programme will

  1. introduce  the teacher-trainees
  • to the making and organization of the curricula and syllabi,
  • to the role and behaviour of the teacher;
  • to the modern means and tools which would facilitate their teaching experience at the High School working environment and culture.
        b. will help them  
  • cope well with the reform pedagogical and educational requirements.
  • with facilities as to their contact, coverage, management of and integration in the classroom working realm.
  • develop their communicative language teaching, methodology, research ,evaluation and assessment competencies.
