Objectifs de la formation:

 

    • Connaissance  générale du fonctionnement du système de la langue anglaise et des compétences langagières (language skills :listening,speaking,reading ,writing)
    • Etude des différents genres littéraires et leurs spécificités (Fiction, drama, poetry) à travers des textes choisis et leur contexte historique et culturel.
    • Culture générale axée sur la culture et la civilisation anglaise et américaine ainsi que la culture d’autrespays anglophones
    • Etude de la littérature, de la culture et de la civilisation anglaise et anglophone, à partir d’approches théoriques et critiques modernes et contemporaines en usage dans les universités d’Europe et d’Amérique du Nord.
    • Ouverture sur une diversité culturelle focalisée sur la culture anglo-saxonne, mais ouverte sur la culture marocaine et ses composantes multiples. Prise en compte d’un savoir sur l’interculturel, sur histoire nationale, et sur  des problématiques à caractère universel.
    • Approfondissement de l’apprentissage de la langue Arabe en vue d’initier l’étudiant à la traduction et à l’interprétariat professionnel.
    • Consolidation des compétences en langue Française comme outil de communication, de travail, et de recherche.
    • Maîtrise des outils de rédaction et de communication en Anglais, en Arabe et en Français.
    • Initiation à l’entreprenariat

LICENSE PROFESSIONNELLE- TEACHING ENGLISH AS A FOREIGN LANGUAGE

Objectifs de la formation : 

 

The main objective of this training emanates from the increasing need of better trained English high school (lycée) teachers nationwide. therefore, the training

  1. targets a vocational training for teaching English at the level of senior and junior High School level
  2. helps prepare teachers who would fulfil the Ministry of Education pedagogical project’s objectives that ultimately seek to make ‘schooling for all’ a successful enterprise. This project remains highly conditional upon teachers whose qualifications help answer the needs, objectives, methodology for the teaching of the on-going set programmes, which are primarily designed to provide the students with skills, linguistic competence.
  3. is a project that promotes ‘governance.
  4. aims at participating in the effort of making available a pedagogical model that works, 
               - helps would-be teachers develop appropriate English communicative language teaching, methodology, and assessment.

 

Compétences à acquérir :

  1. Maîtriser la langue anglaise (à l’oral et à l’écrit),
  2. Maîtriser la lecture, la compréhension, l’analyse, le commentaire et l’interprétation de textes littéraires et non littéraires ; être capable de les situer dans leur contexte historique, social et culturel.
  3. Produire des écrits corrects et structurés : rédactions ou compositions (portant sur la description, la narration, l’argumentation etc.) ou des discours (prise de parole publique speaking, exposés, présentations).
  4. Maîtriser la pratique du commentaire, du résumé, de la synthèse de documents pour apprendre à bien structurer ses idées, et pour développer l’esprit critique.

Débouchés de la formation : 

Teachers of English who will be given a vocational training that will Qualify them for a productive teaching at the level of senior and junior High School nationwide; for this purpose the programme will

  1. introduce  the teacher-trainees
  • to the making and organization of the curricula and syllabi,
  • to the role and behaviour of the teacher;
  • to the modern means and tools which would facilitate their teaching experience at the High School working environment and culture.
        b. will help them  
  • cope well with the reform pedagogical and educational requirements.
  • with facilities as to their contact, coverage, management of and integration in the classroom working realm.
  • develop their communicative language teaching, methodology, research ,evaluation and assessment competencies.

Master Linguistics.

Objectifs de la formation : 

 General Objectives :

  1. To offer “Licence” holders in English the opportunity to continue their studies at the postgraduate level.  
  2. To consolidate prior learning, broaden intellectual perspectives and serve as a basis for subsequent academic research activities.
  3. To promote cultural openness and readiness to face the challenges of a changing socio-economic environment. 
  4. To  facilitate their future social and professional integration  in the professional world . 

 Specific Objectives :

  1.  To reinforce the students’ already acquired knowledge in English linguistics. 
  2.  To provide them with the necessary skills that will help them adapt to a variety of real-world linguistic
  3.  To offer them some solid background knowledge in a number of studyrelated to the  English language and culture such as literary genres, major linguistic subfields, media studies, gender studies, popular culture
  4. To train students in new trends and cultivate innovative, critical and independent learning.
  5.  To initiate them to the methodology and techniques of research work.

 

Compétences à acquérir :

  1. Skills in carrying out a thorough linguistics analysis from both a theoretical point of view and a practical one,
  2. The student will also be more competent in the field of theoretical linguistics and culture studies,
  3. The student will have acquired enough skills to enable him to take his / her job in a very satisfactory way.

Débouchés de la formation : 

 Upon completing our proposed Master programme, the student could choose from a number of promising openings:

   - He/ she could register for Doctoral studies and take up more advanced research projects.
